On day one, learn about the differences between types of roadmap, gain insights from MIT research on innovation, and re-think NPD. Understand the organising principals such as Customer Focused Technology Planning™, and the importance of timing and team selection.
Finish the day with building landscape maps in an interactive group with real-world examples, followed by a team dinner in the evening.

Making Roadmapping Work for your Organisation
Day two helps you understand more about building the map, with examples of how different roadmaps apply to different industries.
You will also learn how to use landscape maps to turn insights into innovative ideas, how to manage ideation, plus learn about criteria for assessing opportunities.
We finish with an open discussion among participants to share challenges and ideas.

About Dr. Jay Paap
The leader of this masterclass, Dr. Jay Paap, is president of Paap Associates and is one of Management Roundtable’s most highly-rated instructors. He serves on the Executive Education faculty of the MIT Sloan School and has taught in executive programs for the Industrial Relations Center (Caltech), the Haas School (Berkeley), and a wide variety of professional and commercial executive workshops globally. He is a Fellow of The Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) and a PDMA Certified New Product Development Professional. Jay received his Ph.D. from MIT’s Sloan School of Management with concentrations in technology management and organisational change.
Jay has more than forty-five years of experience in innovation and technology management, including consulting and speaking assignments with more than 350 firms in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific Rim. Jay received the Maurice Holland Award from the Industrial Research Institute (IRI) for the best article published in Research Technology Management, “Anticipating Disruptive Innovation.” The Corporate Executive Board (CEB) selected the Timken roadmapping process as a best practice and cited Jay’s CFTP landscaping mapping process as one of the key building blocks of the Timken approach.
